Eric was born in Southport, UK in 1949. He currently lives with his wife Carole on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
In 2008, he worked for 2 months at Thamsanqa orphanage in S.Africa. In order to raise funds for the orphanage and awareness of their plight, he decided to test his passion for cycling by joining the 2010 Tour d’Afrique,, cyling from Cairo to Cape Town.
Since then, doing three rides a week, he is trying to improve his performance ready for the next big challenge.

Hope all is well, I see you are travelling again, only this time to the north instead of the south, with matching weather conditions.
I just ordered your book, I saw it in the tour d´afrique newsletter, I guess its going to be a nice read with a lot of recognition.
Here all is well, had a small break from cycling because of a broken clavicle, happened during a mtb training together with Carolina in last April, but besides the bump on my shoulder it has healed quite well. I am planning to do the Cape Epic next year together with Tim, a nice excuse to visit Africa again.
I hope some day we´ll meet up again!
