Dear Eric,

since the TDA started nearly a month ago we spent less time watching TV and much more time reading everthing we can find about this amazing tour. We like the way you are telling us about your private adventures very much and can nearly physically feel what you and all the others in your group are going through.

From our travelling we know that the best pictures are those which you have in your mind and the best experiences are those which you cannot express in words.
If the TDA is like a huge iceberg and your blog is just like the tip of the iceberg we can see than we can imagine what you experience day by day. We admire you for that.

Please say warm greeting to Gisi. She is collecting donations for our two projects in Kenya.

Eric, Eric my friend, I cannot believe this is happening. I never for one moment envisaged that it will be so hard and ver difficult. Eric is it resilliene and endurance why do I think it is pure punishment. I have never for oine moment dreamt that it will be so hard. Did you think it. I had a rush this week and was very sorry for myself but now I feel so ashamed! You are wonderful I am so glad that you are trying to get a bit of a rest. Eric every word I want to write to you seems like an old woman. I am concerned but so appreciative. I hope that you will be completely rested out.

hi eric,

just seen your blog and oh boy what a blog. You have had a very difficult week and also very emotional. I felt sorry for you when you were resting under a tree and you had no control over the tears swelling up in your eyes. You must have been absolutely exhausted. It is draining when you have to keep pushing yourself to the limit .What luxury it must have been staying in the hotel.I dont blame you at all !.Keep up your spirits as we are all thinking of you. You are setting a good example of strength ,courage and determination:what more could anyone ask ?.Keep safe and look foreward to your next instalment ! lots of love ruth x x

Well done Eric. Someone sent me a message today saying persistence and determination are omnipotent and you have certainly proved that.

Are you allowed a TomTom on this ride?

When I was in Capetown I was told to always give the little boys a few rands to guard my parked car, otherwise you could not be sure it would be safe.

Dear Eric, half of me wants to tell you to stop spending such a long time telling us all about your adventures and rest, the other half of me can’t wait to carry on reading!
What an amazing group of people you’re with, and what wonderful sights and experiences you’re having.
I might have known you’d meet someone who has a relative in “the Singing City”, Liverpool gets so many visitors from all over the world, but you’re certainly doing your bit to return the compliment by doing the TDA!

What a blog! At times you had me on the edge of my seat and at others almost in tears. This must be far harder than you ever imagined. It sounds like torture. Sorry you lost you EFI – I wasn’t sure what that meant but discovered it is “Every Fucxxxng Inch”! How many are left in that club? Keep it up, Eric. We are all cheering you on back home.
